Phases I and II of this North Texas Municipal Water District Water Recovery Plant are slated to open in 2023 and serve more than 700,000 people in the rapidly growing northern Metroplex. Austin is constructing the aeration basin and support structures, which includes structural excavation, underground piping, structural concrete, masonry, metals, doors/windows, roofing, and painting and coatings. Austin will also install pumps, mixers, slide gates, bubble diffusers, an overhead bridge crane, FRP tanks, blowers, HVAC systems, and process piping.
